Glass-made solid-contact laboratory sodium-selective general-purpose electrode.
ELIS-142(Na) Electrode, due to solid inner contact, offers the most stable parameters, especially when operated in rigid conditions. However, this electrode offers a higher potential compared to traditional electrodes (over -2,000 mV relative to the chlorine-silver reference electrode), which requires the use of a measuring device having the scale of at least ±3,000 mV.
ELIS-142(Na) Electrode is designed for laboratory analysis of solutions with relatively high concentrations of Na+ ions. The main impeding ion is hydrogen (Н+), so рН-рNa>3.5 ratio has to be followed during the measurement.
Choosing an ion-selective electrode, first of all make sure the measurement technique is applicable to the specific conditions. In case of any problems, contact the experts or developers of the measurement methodology. Remember that most ion-selective electrodes do not offer high selectivity and demonstrate a fairly narrow measurement range which makes up 4 to 6 orders of concentrations. While making decision to purchase a specific electrode, it is important to thoroughly estimate its specifications, recommendations for use and impeding ions.
