KARAT-MT refractometer is designed for direct measurement of the refraction index nD and average dispersion of non-aggressive fluids and solids in field conditions (shipped with an air-tight carrying case). During operation, the case is used as a work table.
KARAT-MT refractometer can be used:
1. At MEDICAL INSTITUTIONS to determine urine and blood serum protein contents, urine density, to analyze brain and arthrous fluid, density of sub-retinal and other eye fluids (our instrument allows to obtain the analysis results for the protein percentage in blood serum, using the Reiss' tables, much earlier and does not require any chemicals for sample preparation). Use of these instruments gives a substantial saving in time spent during mass patients examinations.
2. In PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY to survey aqueous solutions of various medicines:
— calcium chloride (0% and 20%);
— novocaine (0,5%, 1%, 2%, 10%, 20%, 40%);
— ephedrine (5%); glucose (5%, 25%, 40%);
— magnesium sulphate (25%);
— sodium chloride (10%); and
— cordiamin, etc.
