AST-2 is used to determine sugar concentration in sugar-containing solutions.
Note: readings are counted over the upper edge of the meniscus.
AST sugar areometer (with a thermometer) is designed to measure sugar concentration in sugar-containing solutions. The sugar areometer can be used both domestically and at laboratories. Laboratories normally have kits of areometers with various density intervals.
AST sugar areometer (with a thermometer) is produced as per GOST 18 481−81. The primary verification of AST sugar areometer is performed during release from the production process. Recalibration interval for the instrument is 4 years. AST sugar areometer is included in the State Register of Measurement Instrumentation of the Russian Federation under No. 9297−83.
